Incorporated in 2011, Composers & Schools occupies a unique space in the performing arts and music education community by linking professional composers and youth music ensembles to provide learning opportunities that align with the professional music-making industry. Composers & Schools holds an active role in the national landscape of music education, having served more than 95 schools in 35 states Composers & Schools brings leading contemporary composers into the classroom to mentor the next generation musicians, creators and music advocates.

Our music education programs are available nationwide and projects take place in-person, online, or a hybrid of the two.

We collaborate with youth music ensembles of all configurations including mixed ensemble, orchestra, wind band, chamber, choral, jazz, rock, rap and more to create customized projects that fulfill each school’s unique curricular and artistic needs.
